2 car collision stops traffic in downtown Perrin

As the faculty of the Perrin schools were meeting Thursday for their Active Shooter training, a 2 car accident brought traffic to a halt in the downtown area of the town. The accident occurred as a dark colored sedan drove into the back of a small white sedan. Both cars were traveling south. Unofficial reports are that the dark sedan was going too fast to stop. As of this time, we don’t have a report on injuries, if any.

During the training, a gentleman entered the cafeteria and reported the accident to the Deputies that were giving the presentation. The man had noticed the Sheriff trucks and came looking for assistance. JCSO, Perrin First Responders, FCH EMT’s, Constable Tom Spurlock and JCRVFD arrived to assist with the scene.
