Jacksboro Police find October a busy month

The month of October was a busy one for the Jacksboro Police Department. In the monthly report, released today, the department recorded 149 calls for service and 16 arrests.

Police Chief Terry McDaniels posted the October report as follows:

October Arrests Summary:

a 65 year old female for a Theft warrant out of Young County;
a 24 year old male for Public Intoxication;
a 46 year old male for Evading Arrest/Detention and a warrant for Parole Violation;
a 30 year old male for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under 15 in Vehicle;
a 38 year old male for Possession of Methamphetamine under 1 gram and a Palo Pinto County Warrant for Violation of Probation;
a 41 year old female for Possession of Methamphetamine over 4 grams;
a 24 year old male for warrants for Interfere With Emergency Call, Violation of Probation, Terroristic Threat, Burglary of a Habitation, Theft $50-500, and Assault Causes Bodily Injury-Family Violence;
a 22 year old male for Fail To Stop and Render Aid-Felony and Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.

A Search Warrant was executed on a vehicle resulting in the seizure of over nine ounces of Marijuana.

October Police Department Case Dispositions Summary (received from the District Attorney’s Office):
Unauthorized Use of Vehicle: Prosecution Declined due to defendant exhibiting abnormal/schizoid behavior and admitted to psychiatric unit the same day.
Theft $1500-20,000: Prosecution declined due to VP of company stating defendant did what the employee was told to do by the supervisor.
