Boy Scout Troop pays tribute

Memorial Day, 2015: Submitted by Laurie Mayo

Boy Scout Troop 111 and family/friends placed flags on every Veterans grave in the Oakwood Cemetery, recently. The troop does this annually on Memorial Day. Flags are left on the graves for the holiday, then picked back up on Tuesday, to honor those that have fought for our country. The troop has several scouts that they are happy to recognize for their efforts with this solemn tribute Eagle Scout РEJ Lozada, Life Scout РBrady Mayo, and Hoyt Nebgen- Boy Scout. The leader is Gary Nebgen.

Members of Boy Scout Troop 111, and "friends" gathered at the Oakridge Cemetery to place flags on the grave sites of service men and women buried there. An annual tradition by the troop, each Memorial Day.
