Employees of the Jack County Courthouse gathered together this morning to spread a bit of joyful noise. With the spirit of Christmas in their merry hearts, they took to the second floor with songs that echoed throughout the halls. From old time traditional songs like Silent Night to more “modern” tunes such as Blue Christmas the Courthouse Choir brought their best to the many that stopped to listen.
The group is made up of employees of the Courthouse. Led by County Judge, Mitchell Davenport, they began getting together for practice only a couple of weeks ago. Those listening to the group would have thought they had sang together much longer, with many hidden talents brought to light.
The concert lasted about an hour, leaving the audience in the Christmas mood and looking forward to the next concert.
