Cundiff guys take to the river

Gentlemen of all ages from the Cundiff Baptist Church heard the call of nature on April 24th. Doing as what we all do when nature calls, they loaded up the church van and headed to the river! The Brazos to be exact, along highway 4. Trip leaders Keith Umphress and Dee Peevey gathered the young men for a weekend of fellowship, devotionals and fun in the sun. Campers Dalton Burby, Ethan Fudge, Bailey Umphress, Jason Rickard, Devon Wilson, Chandler Lawing, Arnold Espinosa and Jayce Hardee were treated to campfire cooking, games, and stories spun…all of them true, we’re sure…  The 2015 Horseshoe Championship tournament was fierce, but eventually Bailey Umphress and Chandler Lawing emerged the winners. Lawing also received the award for “Biggest Fish” caught, although it was the only one caught! Setting up a tent was a lesson in patience and perseverance, to leaders and campers alike! The weekend wrapped up and was deemed a success by all as they headed home….wait for it… as HAPPY CAMPERS!

Canoeing was a welcomed activity during the Cundiff Guys Weekend Camp Out, along the Brazos.

Who doesn't like bacon? Cooked over a camp fire, we could just eat the picture!
