Friends help “Fill the Ford”

Friends of the Jacksboro Animal Shelter held an adoption day on Saturday to kick off Pet Appreciation Week. Donations were given in effort to “Fill the Ford”, a campaign designed to help resupply the shelter of various items. According to the Friends, the shelter has seen an increase of animals without homes. Among the most important needs of the shelter, the friends say, are homes willing to adopt.  Animals come to the shelter from rescues and owner surrender, with each of the animals looking for new families. Adoption events are held by the Friends regularly, but can be done at any time.
