Holidays come to tragic end for family of Bryson woman

With 2016 just hours away, the family and friends of Bryson resident, Elizabeth Eanes will be looking for answers to what happened to their loved one.

Reported missing from her home in Bryson on Tuesday, a body was discovered near her home on Wednesday, as law enforcement was investigating the missing person’s report. Although public speculation was that the body was that of Eanes, the autopsy did not come back until this afternoon, confirming what family and friends had feared.

According to the report released by the Jack County Sheriff office

The unidentified body found on 12/30/2015 in Bryson, Jack County, Texas has been identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office as Elizabeth Ann Eanes, the 34 year old female reported missing from Bryson on 12/29/2015. Elizabeth Ann Eanes was last seen in Bryson on 12/27/2015 during the most recent winter weather event. The preliminary autopsy revealed no significant cause of death. There was no trauma discovered during the autopsy. The cause of death is pending toxicology and histology. The investigation continues as an unattended death.

The residents of Bryson, and the county, took to social media upon the discovery of the body. All are hoping that the investigation will bring answers, and closure, to the tragic event. In the meantime, for the loved ones of Elizabeth Eanes, New Years Eve will be spent honoring her memory.
