Jack County 4H members held a presentation to the county commissioners on Monday at the regular scheduled meeting. Ashley Cox, Karson Hood, Trey Berry and Michael Berry took turns giving details of different projects the 4H is involved in and projects that are in the works.
As president of County 4-H Council, Ashley Cox asked the court to sign a proclamation declaring Oct 4-10 National 4-H Week. Karson Hood, Trey Berry and Michael Berry explained about the 4-H One Day Project. The Texas Forest Service is turning 100, and to help celebrate they are working with 4-H. In one project, the county will be getting a 4-5 Foot Bur Oak Tree that will be planted at the museum as well as some seedlings that will be planted around the county.
The students shared with commissioners their recent awards from the 4H Banquet. The following awards were given:
