Open Carry explained at Republican meeting

Michael Schraub, a Texas ranger stationed in Graham with Company “C” was a guest speaker at the republican meeting, held Monday January 18th. Schraub spoke to the full house about the new Open Carry law and what it meant to the public. According to the Republican Party Chairman, Sharon Van Baale, the turn out was very good. “ We had a great turnout to hear Texas Ranger Michael Schraub talking about the new Open Carry Law.  It was a very informative presentation.  He was so good to step up at the last minute when Rep. Springer had a conflict present itself” Van Baale added “Our new venue at the Faith Community Hospital Board Room worked perfectly; the food was wonderful; and we had a lot of good people there.  We listened to our candidates and had some social time afterward”.

Van Baale also reminds “ The next meeting is February 15 @6 PM and our speaker will be SD 30 Committeewoman Deonn Starnes (our rep. to the Texas GOP in Austin) and she will be talking about the Road to Convention.  The conventions this year prove to be especially exciting since it is a Presidential year”.
