Customers from all over the county and beyond were finally able to walk through the doors of Jack County’s newest “big thing”. The Tractor Supply Co., located on Highway 148 (by the new Faith Community Hospital) opened the doors at 8 am to a waiting public. According to Assistant Manager, Jim Self, the public has been ready for the store to open for some time. Self said “We have had people coming here since last Saturday. Some people thought we were opening then. We were all like ‘Sure, come on in’, it didn’t bother us a bit.” Although the name was not typically recorded, the first “official” customer was a landowner from Joy.
The new TSC served cupcakes, cookies and cold bottled water to customers in appreciation for their business. A “soft opening” was held on Friday. The future looks good for the retailer, who sells a little of everything. Welcome to the neighborhood, TSC, we wish you great success!
The official Grand Opening will be held from September 10th thru 13th.
